Throughout his childhood, Pete played hockey in the Greater Boston League and as a member of the Triboro Youth Hockey and the Minuteman Flames before he went on to being named a 2-year Captain and 2-year All-Star at Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough, MA. After high school, Pete's hockey career continued as a member of the Westfield State Owls.

Once it was time for Pete to finally hang up his skates as a player, he immediately transitioned into life as a hockey coach. His coaching experience ranges from working at several clinics and being the Director of Hockey Operations at the Dynamics of Hockey LLC to coaching a number of High School Prep teams, the Minuteman Flames, Wachusett Regional High School, and the U18 Tier 1 NorthStar Selects before taking his current, full-time position as the Hockey Director of Warrior Ice Arena, the official training and practice facility of the Boston Bruins.
